Description
Seeing the result yourself
A TDS meter measures how much mineral, salt and metal is dissolved in water and shows it in ppm. The most direct way to use it is to measure your tap water first, then measure what comes out of the purifier.
What the number does and does not tell you
TDS measures how much is dissolved, not what is dissolved. A sharp drop after filtration shows the system is working, but TDS is not a safety test and does not replace laboratory analysis.
Keeping an eye on your filters
Measuring at the same point every so often is the simplest way to see when filter performance starts to fall off.
